How do I request Super Administrator privileges?

Super Administrator Privileges allow you to perform certain sensitive tasks in Coins ERP+. These include:

  • Updating SC Definitions (when in use on subcontracts).

  • Updating CS Definitions (when in use on contract series).

  • Changing GL account structure.

  • Authorising an override of Irish PL and SC payments.

  • Running toolbox functions.

You can only request super administrator privileges if you are already logged in as an administrator.

To request super administrator privileges you need to contact Coins ERP+ support and obtain a single-use passkey. For security purposes, to request the Passkey please contact COINS Support by logging a COINS Support ticket.

An administrator user is one whose user ID is listed in the Administrators field in Module/Licence Maintenance.

Coins staff can also log in as administrators using the special Consultant Login procedure.

Requesting Super Administrator Privileges

  1. From the User Menu, select Super Administrator Privileges.

    The Super Administrator Privileges option is only available if you are logged in as an adminstrator.

    The Super Administrator Privileges screen is displayed. This shows a passtoken and the Passkey field.

  2. Contact Coins support to request the passkey; you will need to quote the first few characters of the passtoken.

  3. In the Passkey field, enter the passkey provided by Coins support.

    The passkey is case-sensitive. The passtoken is valid for five minutes; if you do not enter the corresponding passkey within five minutes, you need to refresh the screen to get another token.

  4. Click Next (Next Icon).

    An alert shows that you have been granted super administrator privileges.

    The super administrator privileges last until the session ends.
