Unable to download RPNs - Payroll

I'm unable to complete RPN Downloads Error: Employer registration number: XXXXXXXXX Unable to connect to the Revenue. [PR50] Server returned HTTP response code: 400 for URL: https://www.ros.ie/paye-employers/v1/soap/rpn

This error is normally an issue with Revenue.

Usually, when there is 'soap' in the URL provided, this indicates that there is an issue with the Digital Tax Certificate.

To resolve this, you should add a new digital certificate from ROS.

Once you have the new certificate, this can be loaded by:

  1. Going to Payroll

  2. Click the Global Functions

  3. Select ROS Workbench

  4. From here, you can open the page and load the new digital certificate and check the password is correct.

If you are still having problems, please check that employee data matches what is held by Revenue as a mismatch can also cause this error.
