Payroll - All Bucket records in use when posting payroll batch

When trying to post the payroll batch, an error message appears: All Bucket records are in use for type CPRSEQ [SY1062]

Buckets are used when records need to be sequenced. These records are pre-created. If they start to run out, new ones are created.

If many are used at once, it's possible to hit SY1062. This is normally an intermittent fault.

Note: It is recommended to try to post the batch again to see if the error still happens.

If this becomes a regular occurrence, the following parameter changes can be made:

  • Setting CO/LBKTYPES equal to the transaction type of the batch,

  • Setting CO/LBKFILL = 2000 and

  • CO/LBKMIN = 1000 (this may require some trial and error).
