Two new fields have been added to the annual details screen.
Annual Details for Tax Year Screen
Field - Rate
Description - The apprenticeship levy rate. This is a percentage of the annual pay bill and is used to calculate the levy liability.
Field - Allowance
Description - The annual levy allowance; this offsets the levy liability (so if the levy liability is less than the allowance, no levy is payable).
When you create the 2017 record, the rate (0.5%) and the allowance (£15,000) are defaulted in.
In future years, the values will be copied from the previous year; if the rate or allowance changes, you will need to update the fields.
