Starting from 1st January 2026, Ireland employees who meet certain criteria will be automatically enrolled into a new pension scheme called MyFuture Fund.
What is MyFuture Fund?
MyFuture Fund is Ireland's automatic enrolment pension scheme managed by NAERSA (National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority). Under this scheme:
For every €3 the employee contributes, the employer contributes €3
The state contributes €1
Employees earning more than €20,000 per year and aged between 23 and 60 are automatically enrolled
