Enabling Desktop for a User

This document demonstrates how to enable a desktop for a user.

  1. Go to System > User Maintenance > Users. Select the user and open the user record using the open folder.

  2. Click on the Preferences tab.

  3. For this example, we are going to add the Project Management Desktop for the user. In the Alternative Desktops add “OAPPM” (project management desktop). Here I added the desktop after OAFIN, so when we look at our desktop options OAPPM will be the second in our options. Now click SAVE.

    Note: Alternatively, we can also make the new desktop we are adding a “Current Desktop”. In that case we would add OAPPM in the Current Desktop Field and also add in Alterative Desktops field.

  4. Now, if we look at our available desktops, we will see Project Management Desktop in our list.
