Terminology

This document explains how to use the function Terminology. Terminology allows you to set up tokens for terms which are different in other varieties of English (for example, American, British, and Australian). When these tokens are used on screens, in messages, or in documentation, COINS replaces them with the relevant alternative display text.

  1. Go to System > System Setup > Help Tools > Terminology, then Pick Country.

  2. Search for the Term that you want to setup the token for. For this example, we will look for the term “Supplier”. This will bring all the terms available related to “Supplier”. We will be changing “Supplier Reference” to show as Invoice Number in the system.

  3. Open the Folder for Supplier Reference and Enter in the token that you want to see for the term. Avoid using Display Text since it is overwritten with upgrades /service packs. Save it.
