Employees can project future leave balances for entitlement type leave only.
The calculation is based on the employee base hours worked per pay period (displayed on the profile tile) and the accrual rate of the plan. This does not include future unpaid leave.
The calculation is based on the report ‘Leave Calc’ in Payroll (COINS program pruemps055.p).
Date defaults to today’s date and only allows future dates to be entered.
Leave Projection Screen
Leave type: | The ESS parameter ES/LTPDISP defines which leave types will be used in the projection tile. |
Balances: | This defaults to the paid up to for the employee. |
History: | The  button redirects the user to the leave taken tile and displays only leave entitlement hours processed through Payroll. |
Apply: | The  button redirects the user to the leave request tile to make an application for leave. |
Included in Leave Projection
The projection balance takes into consideration already ‘Booked’ and ‘Paid’ leave types prior to the Projected Date.
If a leave period starts before the projected date, and finishes after the projected date, this is included in the calculation if it has been approved.
Leave type and to and from dates are displayed with the total number of hours being included in the leave projection for visibility to employee. This only displays entitlement type leave.
Excluded from Leave Projection
The projection balance excludes leave that remains unapproved or with status of ‘New Request’.
Any leave request regardless of the status that starts after the projection date is also excluded.
If a leave period starts before the projected date and finishes after the projected date, has not been approved, it is excluded from the calculation.
