Support - Technical Help

Updated over 2 months ago

Coins ERP+ provides the following technical help:

  • To show the audit history for the current field (if auditing has been enabled for that field), click the tick.

Coins ERP+ shows changes made to the field, who made them, and when. The audit history shows the records still retained on the system. Auditing must be set up for the file/field combination. See Auditing.

  • To show the COINSInfo screen, which lists various useful information (including the parameters and variables Coins ERP+ has read during an operation, what they are currently set to, the fields used, error messages, and an agent log) press Ctrl+Shift and click the logo at the top right of the screen.

This also displays i images next to the fields - when you hold the pointer over these a tooltip shows the field name.

You can also display the COINSInfo screen by:

  • Pressing Ctrl+Shift+C (in Internet Explorer).

  • Pressing Ctrl+Shift+D (in Chrome - if you only have one tab open).

  • Pressing Ctrl+Shift or Alt+Shift and clicking the

button on a Coins ERP+ frame.

  • Adding &COINSinfo=true to the URL.

  • To show the procedure stack when displaying error messages, add &helpMode=stack to the URL.

  • To show standard pages without user overrides (see Making Copies of Functions), add &helpMode=stdpage to the URL.

  • To show borders round the tables in the pages, add &helpMode=layout to the URL.

  • To show function and field names in the help frame, add &helpMode=prompt to the URL. (This shows the field names as used to generate the help; because of help aliases, these may be different from the actual fields on the page.)

  • To clear the user/function defaults (removing all filters and sort orders), add &helpMode=clearDefault to the URL.

You can combine the helpMode variables; for example, &helpMode=stdpage, layout.

  • To access the Page Designer for the function you are running, click the link in the title bar, or click somewhere on the page then press Ctrl+Shift+Z. (Page Designer opens in a separate window.)

  • Log File Viewer displays the contents of a log file. This reads in the last 400 lines or so of the log file and presents them in a searchable browse screen, in particular allowing you to filter on a specific agent to follow a thread through the log.
