To use all the features of Coins ERP+ you will need a PC with the following software installed:
Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge with Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft Edge (New Version), or the latest version of Google Chrome, with the following permissions:
Allow Session Cookies. On versions of IE that we are familiar with, session cookies appear to always be allowed.
Allow load/run ActiveX controls (this is only required for House Sales mail merge when using Internet Explorer). Note: ActiveX is not supported in modern browsers such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and should not be enabled. Drag and drop document upload does not require ActiveX in modern browsers.
Allow execution of JavaScript, enable the "Active Scripting" security setting for the relevant zone.
Security settings for the Coins ERP+ URL set to Local Intranet or Trusted Site Pop-up blockers turned off (to use the 'bulk export' functionality).
MS Word.
MS Excel.
Acrobat Reader (to view PDF reports).
Performance can also be affected by network settings, for instance some companies "scan" all internal FTP traffic or scan for certain objects such as PDFs. This can slow the transfer.
⚠️Important: Drag and drop from the new Microsoft Outlook into COINS does not currently work. This is due to changes in how new Outlook handles file metadata and drag and drop operations. The workaround is to save the file to your desktop first, then upload it using the Browse button in COINS. Classic Outlook is not affected by this limitation.
