Google reCAPTCHA v3 is a mechanism to defend against malicious bot intrusions while still allowing ‘real’ people through with no need to pass visual screen tests. reCAPTCHA v3 is integrated on the COINS login page. The score returned from reCAPTCHA v3 will be used to decide whether or not to allow the user to log in.

Once enabled, the white and blue reCAPTCHA badge is visible on the bottom right of the screen and ‘real’ users will login as usual. Any malicious bot activity should be prevented by this mechanism.
