Maintenance Cycles

Updated over a month ago

Each part of the Service Plan is defined by a “Cycle”. These are set up against each asset. Tasks can then be assigned to the cycles. At the point when due for scheduling - expected next service minus lead time - the associated tasks are created on the asset. The tasks will be added to a job card, and the job card will record which service cycles were actioned. Upon completion, the due flag is reset and the next service date and meter are set.

  1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > FA Asset Workbench.

  2. Select the asset for which you would like to have a cycle set up.

  3. Within the asset record, select Maintenance > Cycles.

    Asset Maintenance Cycles

  4. Click Add (Add Button) to add a new record.

  5. Enter:

    • Cycle code – a code to identify the cycle

    • Meter Frequency – intervals based on a meter

      • Interval – how many units of the meter separates each event in the cycle

      • Caption – which caption is used for the meter

    • Chronological – intervals based on time

      • Interval – how many days, months or years between each event

      • Unit – Day, Week, Month or Year. This can also be set to ‘None’ if there is no time based alternative to the Meter Frequency

    • Last Actioned – the meter reading and date when the event was last actioned

    • Next – the meter reading and date the next event is due

    • Expected – when the next event is expected to occur

  6. When you are done, save the line by clicking Save (Save Icon).

You can add as many cycles as required; for example, 500, 1000 and 2000 hour services would each have their own cycle.
