Overview
Service Quotes allow you to bill multiple Service Quote Subsections under a single service order, including the original service order that initiated the service quote request.
Understanding Service Order Classifications
When working with service quotes, it's important to understand the two classifications of service orders:
Service Quote Request Service Order
This label indicates that the service order is awaiting a detailed service quote to be generated, typically due to additional requirements or customisations needed.
Confirmed Service Order
This label indicates that the service quote has been accepted by the customer and the service order is now in the process of fulfillment and billing.
Service Quote Subsection
Each Service Quote Subsection will have reference to both a Service Quote Request Service Order and a Confirmed Service Order.
A service quote may be created for a service order and be processed/billed under that same service order.
A service quote may be created for a service order but be processed/billed under a separate service order. The Confirmed Service Order may have multiple service quotes included.
A service quote may be created without reference to a service order but will need to be processed/billed under a service order.

In this example:
Service Order 10001234 will list Service Quotes: 12340566, 12340569
Service Order 10005678 will list Service Quotes: 12340567, 12340568
Service Quotes
The Service Quotes screen includes two service order columns referencing the service order classification types.
Request Service Orders - Shows the service order that requested the service quote.
Confirmed Service Orders - Shows the service order for which the service quote will be billed.
Adding a New Service Quote
When you add a service quote, you can reference the service order that requested the service quote.
This will:
Auto-fill various information on the service quote using data from the service order.
Populate location, customer, and service department information.
Maintain service order references at the subsection level.
Subsections
A single service quote can have multiple subsections (e.g., A, B, C) for completely different elements of work for a particular customer and location.
You can:
Drive subsections from different service orders in terms of where the request originated.
Combine multiple service order work requests under a single service quote.
Determine where subsections will be billed if accepted.
Service Orders > Service Quotes Screen
Within each service order, a browse lists all Service Quote Subsections that reference the Service Order as either:
Service Quote's Request Service Order, OR
Service Quote's Confirmed Service Order
Example
When viewing Service Order 1000, you may see references to other service orders in the screen. Service Order 1000 must be referenced in either the Request Service Order or Confirmed Service Order column to appear as a related entity.
Creating Service Quotes from Service Orders
Similar to the service order main tab, you can start a service quote directly from this screen within the service order function.
Generate Detail Lines and Quoted Price Billing from Service Quote Items For Billing
The Service Quote Items For Billing screen lists the service quote items from subsections that reference the service order as the Confirmed Service Order
(where you'll bill the service quote).
Generate Detail Lines
Navigate to Service Management > Service Orders > Finance > Service Quote Items for Billing.
Select individual service quote items.
Use the Choose Action to Generate Detail Line.
Generate Quoted Price Billing
The Generate Quoted Price Billing action generates one "Quoted Price" type billing line on the service order and automatically increases the quoted price on the service order by the combined value. This prevents the need to create a separate service order detail line for every individual service quote item.
Navigate to Service Management > Service Orders > Finance > Service Quote Items for Billing.
Select multiple service quote items.
Use the Choose Action to Generate Quoted Price Billing.
Generate Service Order Detail Lines from Service Quotes
Navigate to Service Management > Service Orders > Detail Lines > All.
Select the Generate From Service Quotes button.
