Standard Asset Tasks

Standard Asset Tasks allows you to set up standard "templates" for common tasks. You can set up the stock required for the task, and a checklist for the task.

When you add a task against an asset, if there is a standard task defined with the same code, then the details will default in.


Add a New Standard Task

  1. Navigate to Plant Control > Setup > Maintenance > Standard Tasks. This is where you need to set up standard “templates” for common tasks that will be carried out on an asset.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter the Task Code and Description, along with estimates for the number of hours required to perform the task, and cost, and whether the task is classed as an inspection.

  4. Click Save to store the record, or click onto the Stock and Checklist tabs to add appropriate entries.

  1. To add Stock items to the task, open the task, select the Stock tab.

  2. Click Add.

  3. This opens a new line ready for you to input a Stock Item code, or you can choose from a list of Stock Items by using Lookup (Lookup Icon).

  4. Enter the quantity that will be used during the task, as well as any notes you may wish to add.

  5. When done, click Save (Save Icon) to save the record.

You can add as many items as is required for the task.

Adding a checklist to a task

To add a checklist to a standard task:

  1. Select the Checklist tab.

  2. Click Add.

  3. You may add as many lines of text as required for each item to be checked off.

  4. Click Save to save the checklist line.
