Application Development and Start of Service

Application Deployment

Before the managed service can be delivered, the Mobile Application must be deployed on the production instance of M1x platform. The services to define, develop, integrate, and trial the Mobile Application are covered in other documents (such as Agreement, functional specification, project plan, etc.) and undertaken by a Coins ERP+ professional services team or third-party developers and using non-production instances of the M1x platform.

Once accepted, the Mobile Application is ready for deployment on the production instance of M1x platform, and the managed service will commence as defined in the Agreement. However, it is normal for special arrangements to be in place during initial roll-out/pilot whereby the project team is actively involved for a period before the client is fully handed over into the managed service.

Service Notification Pack

At the point of hand-over, the Mobile Application is ready for long-term operation and support under the managed service, Coins ERP+ will issue a Service Notification pack to the customer to confirm:

  • The formal start of managed services and associated target reporting.

  • The scope of the service.

  • Coins ERP+ contact points for the service.

  • Customer’s authorised representatives that can use the service and act as escalation points.

  • A copy of the latest version of this guide.

The criteria used for hand-over of the application onto the platform and for issuing the service notification include but are not limited to:

  • Application has passed acceptance tests.

  • The Mobile Application documentation is up to date and available.

  • The application is in successful operation with a pilot group of mobile workers.

  • Appropriate contacts, escalation, and provisions are in place for support of the application by the customer.
