The M1x platform is multi-tenanted with shared capacity to provide efficient platform management and load management.
Coins ERP+ monitor the production M1x platform and maintain it to run within capacity targets for disk space, memory, cpu, network bandwidth to keep the platform operating with reasonable headroom for spikes in demand.
If the platform is exceeds a capacity target for more than 2 hours in a day for at least 10 days (not necessarily consecutive) in a month, then Coins ERP+ will plan and implement a strategy to bring the platform back within its monitoring thresholds. This may involve but is not be limited to:
Additional hardware.
Platform optimisation.
Application optimisation.
Increased Bandwidth.
Resilience
The M1x platform is designed to have no single point of failure. In the event of failure of a component, then Coins ERP+ will either have arrangements for next day delivery of a replacement or maintain at least one spare on site in its data-centre.
The Mobile Application running on the platform is typically designed with a loosely coupled architecture that provides resilience to network failures between the mobile device and the M1x platform and between the M1x platform and the customer’s back-end systems. For more details refer to the functional specification for the mobile-application.
The platform is hosted in a secure data-centre that provides environment monitoring, climate control, fire protection systems and 24 hour emergency power.
Any persistent data (e.g. user ids) necessary for the operation of the platform and mobile-application is backed-up daily and stored off-site. Unless otherwise stated in the service agreement or functional specification, Coins ERP+ have no responsibility for maintaining, archiving or otherwise securing transient data for the mobile-application that is more than 5 days old.
Security
Coins ERP+ commit to hosting its production platform in a physically secure and manned third-party data centre. In the event that Coins ERP+ change supplier, Coins ERP+ will ensure that the new supplier provides at least the same levels of security and service.
Electronic access to the production platform is through secure SSL connection available to nominated Coins ERP+ support/operations staff and physical access is also restricted to nominated Coins ERP+ operations staff.
DR and Continuity
The operational M1x platform is hosted in a high resilience data-centre with redundant capability as described in section 5. In the event there is a catastrophic failure at this facility, Coins ERP+ offer the following Disaster-Recovery / Business-continuity options:
Standard
Secondary Standby option
Change Management
The Mobile Application is potentially impacted by changes to the customer’s back-end applications. Consequently in providing this service Coins ERP+ expect the customer to:
Provide advance notice of changes to the customer systems that may impact the mobile-application.
Provide advance notice of any scheduled down-time of the customer systems.
Test changes to back-end systems to ensure they do not impact the Mobile Application before they are put live.
Whilst the Mx platform is designed and developed to support multiple devices and networks, changes to either should still be managed through change control as the Mobile Application will still need verification and to confirm that the device/network is supported.
