Configure GL Cost Posting reports to auto-select a report queue

How to configure GL Cost Posting reports in COINS Octavius to automatically run on a report queue, removing the need to manually assign a queue in Report Status.

By default, GL Cost Posting reports in Coins do not automatically select a report queue. This means users must manually open each report in Report Status and assign a queue before the report can run. You can resolve this by adding the GL Cost Posting report function to the Force of Queue field on the relevant report queue.

Configure the report queue

  1. Go to System > Print Manager > Setup > Report Queues.

  2. Open the report queue you want GL Cost Posting reports to run on (for example, GEN).

  3. In the Force of Queue field, enter the GL Cost Posting report function: %WGL3060RCOB.

  4. Save the record.

📌Note: This change applies to future GL Cost Posting reports only. Any existing reports that are currently sitting at WAITING status will still need to be assigned a queue manually.

Assign a queue to existing waiting reports

For any GL Cost Posting reports already sitting at WAITING status in Report Status, you need to assign a queue manually.

  1. Go to Report Status.

  2. Open the report record that is at WAITING status.

  3. Select the desired report queue.

  4. Save the record to queue the report for processing.
