Correct a purchase date after posting
The purchase date on a fixed asset acquisition is locked once the batch is posted. Enter Adjustment cannot change it. To correct an incorrect purchase date, work with your finance team to either:
Reverse the posted acquisition in the general ledger and re-post it with the correct purchase date, or
Post a manual general ledger journal to move the value to the correct period.
đNote: The purchase date field is locked by design to maintain posting integrity. Contact your support team if you need assistance with the reversal process.
