Fast Dispatch in COINS Plant Control is a simplified way to assign an asset directly to a job without going through the full hire desk or standard dispatch process.
When to use Fast Dispatch
Speed and efficiency: Use when assets need to be sent to site urgently.
Reduced data entry: Skips the detailed setup steps of a standard dispatch.
Operational convenience: Use for routine plant movements where full control checks are not required.
Create a fast dispatch
Go to Plant Control > Fast Dispatch.
Select the Depot, then select the dispatch destination in the Dispatch to field.
Enter the Customer / Contract, address details, Dispatch Type, Reference, Name, and any Comments.
Enter the Dispatch Date and Expected Off Hire date.
Select the asset in the Item field within the item lines section.
Enter the Quantity and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) code for each item.
Under Next Action, select Create Confirmed Dispatch.
Click Next.
The dispatch is created and you are taken to the print dispatch screen.
The confirmed dispatch is visible in Hire Desk > Existing Hires.
