A company-specific checklist template can be copied, given that it is not empty and your company security allows you access to the template. Master templates cannot be copied.
Copied templates start with all the same sections and items as the templates they were copied from, but can still be edited. The copy function is useful if you wish to use similar but slightly different templates across multiple companies. If you wish to use identical templates across multiple companies, it is recommended to use a master template.
Right-click the template you wish to copy, or left-click and click the menu icon
, then click Copy Template. This opens the Copy Checklist Template window.Enter a name for the new template in the Target Template Name field. This name must be unique.
Select a company to assign to the new template from the Target Company drop-down. If you select the same company as the template which you are copying, the new template will have all the same plot-related attributes (e.g. Market Mixes, Dwelling Types). If you select a different company, none of the plot-related attributes will be copied over, as they might not exist in the target company. Note that only companies which you have selected from the company picker at the top of the screen will appear in this drop-down field.
Tick the Copy with Reference Attachments tick box if you wish to copy over all the reference images and files from the original template.
Click
to copy the template. The new template will initially have the same description as the one it was copied from. If you selected a company with no existing template, it will be marked as current, otherwise it will not be current by default. These details can be modified (see Editing a Checklist Template).
