User View Set Up

User views allow different users to see different lists of companies and projects.

Coins ERP+ may hold information about thousands of companies, but staff at a local office may only need to see companies that they deal with. Staff at a different local office may need to see a different list of companies, and staff at a regional office may need to see a larger list that includes all the companies visible to the local offices.

To set up a user's views:

  1. Go to Maintain User Views.

  2. Find the user whose views you want to set up and click the link in the User column.

  3. For each view you want the user to have, enter a separate record.

Note that you can only set up one view within any "company" (that is, any level 2 entity). So if you set up a user with the "Slough office" view within the Southern Region of company 1, you cannot also set up that user with a "Northern region" view within company 1.

  4. For each view, enter the user's base level for that view, the company that the view is for, and the entity for that level.

  5. To restrict this user's view to particular types of company only, enter a list of "module" codes that you have used to identify company types, or a list of company types, or both.
