Troubleshoot system slowness in COINS ERP+

Steps to diagnose and resolve slow performance in COINS ERP+, including browser checks, report timeouts, and when to contact support.

System slowness in COINS ERP+ can have several causes, from browser settings to server load. Use this article to identify what might be affecting your performance and resolve it.

📌Note: If the slowness started after a recent COINS update, check the latest release notes for known performance issues before working through these steps.

Check your browser and connection

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload COINS ERP+.

  2. Check you are using a supported browser. COINS ERP+ works best with the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  3. Try opening COINS ERP+ in a private or incognito window to rule out browser extensions.

  4. Check your internet connection is stable. If you are on a VPN, try disconnecting and reconnecting.

  5. Ask a colleague to try logging in. If they also experience slowness, the issue is likely server-side rather than your device.

Identify whether the issue is module-specific

If slowness only occurs in one module or screen, note the following before contacting support:

  • Which module and screen is affected (for example, General Ledger > Batch Entry).

  • Whether the issue happens for all users or just you.

  • The approximate time the slowness started.

  • Whether running a report or large batch process is triggering the slowness.

Resolve slow or timed-out reports

Reports can time out when processing large volumes of data. To reduce processing time:

  1. Narrow the date range or filter criteria on the report.

  2. Run the report outside of peak business hours.

  3. Use the Scheduled option in Output Options to run the report in the background and collect the output later.

  4. If the report consistently times out regardless of filters, contact COINS ERP+ Support with the report name and the parameters you are using.

When to contact support

Raise a support ticket through the Access Digital Assistant if:

  • Slowness affects all users across all modules.

  • The system is unresponsive or pages fail to load entirely.

  • Performance has degraded after an environment refresh or maintenance update.

  • You have completed the steps above and the issue persists.

⚠️Important: When raising a ticket, include the affected module, the time the issue started, how many users are affected, and any recent changes to your environment. This helps the support team investigate faster.
