Managing Provisional Reservations in ERP - Construction

Provisional reservations are temporary holds on plots or units that can be managed within the ERP - Construction application. This guide explains how to cancel provisional reservations and clear incomplete entries from the Incomplete Provisionals list.

Canceling Provisional Reservations

In newer versions of the reservation workflow, the standalone "Cancel Provisional" option has been removed. Instead, provisional reservations are managed directly within the reservation process. To cancel a provisional reservation without affecting a full reservation:

  1. Open the plot’s Sales Workbench.

  2. Navigate to the More tab and select Provisional(s).

  3. Click the provisional hyperlink to open its sequence (Provisional Reservation).

  4. Use the reservation action to cancel the reservation for that provisional entry.

This process removes the provisional reservation from the plot without requiring a separate cancellation screen.

Clearing Incomplete Provisional Entries

To manage and clear items from the Incomplete Provisionals list:

  1. Review each entry in the Incomplete Provisionals tab.

  2. Complete or amend any incomplete entries by clicking Continue and filling in the required fields.

  3. After completing the entries, clear them from the desktop by running the relevant processes from the Sales Admin tab. Run one process at a time and wait for each to finish before starting the next.

  4. If the entries are unnecessary provisional records, delete them from the provisional reservations browse by selecting the rows and using the Delete option.

This ensures that the Incomplete Provisionals list is up-to-date and free of unnecessary records.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Issue: Unable to locate the provisional reservation. - Solution: Ensure you are accessing the correct plot and using the Sales Workbench to locate the provisional entry.

  • Issue: Errors when running processes from the Sales Admin tab. - Solution: Verify that each process is completed before starting the next to avoid conflicts.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage provisional reservations and maintain an organized reservation system.
