There are two methods for resetting a user's password:
Method 1: Admin Password Reset
Ensure someone from the company is logged in to the system.
Navigate to User Maintenance by going to System
Click User Maintenance
Select User Workbench
Locate the user whose password needs to be reset by searching for their username in the search box located in the bottom right corner:
Click on the user’s ID (the blue text) to open their profile
Click the arrow icon next to Set User Password at the bottom of the screen
Enter the new password and confirm the change by pressing the Next button in the bottom right corner:
Method 2: User-Initiated Password Reset
To allow users to reset their own passwords, enable the Forgot Password option:
Navigate to System
Click System Setup
Select System Parameters
Look for the parameter labelled PWDRESET in the bottom right search box:
Click the folder icon next to the parameter, and once open, set the value to Y:
Once enabled, users who forget their passwords or have locked accounts can request a password reset link to be sent to their email address. This link will allow them to reset their password independently.
How to unlock a user
This section explains how to unlock a user account that has been locked due to failed login attempts or other security measures.
Follow the same menu steps as for setting the password:
Go to System
Select User Maintenance
Click User Workbench
Enter the username or other identifying information to locate the user
Click on the folder icon next to the user's name:
On the new page, find the Account Locked field amongst the editable options
Untick the Account Locked checkbox:
Click Save to apply the changes.
