When working with large reports on certain workbenches (e.g., Jobs or Service Orders), users may encounter issues when attempting to print or export all records with all available fields.

This article explains the common problems, why they occur, and the recommended approach to avoid them.

To avoid these issues and reduce potential system unresponsiveness, use Print functionality instead of Export:

  1. Navigate to the page where you want to export data.

  2. Click the Print icon

  3. Select the fields you want to include in the report.

    • A default set of fields will already be selected and shown in the “Selected” area:

  4. Click Next to run the report.

  5. The report will run in the background, allowing you to continue working

  6. Once the report is completed, go to the Report Status screen.

    • Locate your report and click the Excel icon corresponding to it.

    • Excel will open and display the data you require.

Why Use Print Instead of Export

Using the Print functionality provides better performance and helps avoid timeout errors during large data operations.

System parameter WEBPTO (Webpage Timeout) defines how long the system waits before timing out. This parameter is typically set to 30000 milliseconds (30 seconds) to ensure that exports using the Excel icon do not keep a web speed agent busy for extended periods, which could make the system appear to hang or become unresponsive.

Note: We do not recommend increasing the WEBPTO parameter beyond its default value without consulting with COINS first, as doing so can cause system delays and negatively impact overall performance.
